Taiwan Teddy Bear Olympic Challenge 2008

I am delighted to have been asked to represent my country in this competition, and it was an honour for me to design a bear that would represent the whole Island of Ireland.

I have named the bear Oran. He is a 22inch/60cm luxury oatmeal faux fur bear. He is wearing a hand made Irish Linen suit that I designed especially for the competition. Oran is wearing a beautiful silk scarf and carries the Irish Olympic official flag. Oran is a traditional bear and if you press a button in his back he will play the ballad "when Irish eyes are smiling"

RESULTS 25/08/09
Well the results of the Taiwan Bear Olympic Challenge are in and the fantastic news is that Oran Bear came in at number 8 making the top 10 most voted for bears in this world competition.

I am absolutely delighted to have been voted in the top 10 and out of 43 countries this is the best possible news I could have received.

I would have been happy just to be in the top 20. I just wanted you to know that all your help must have paid off. All the results are on this link Olympic Bear Result
